WMS system in the warehouse of the food distributor «Lan-Ukraine»

The implementation team, consisting of specialists from Quantum International and Lan-Ukraine, launched the Qguar professional warehouse management system into commercial operation. The WMS system was put into operation at a warehouse complex with an area of about 7,000 sq. m. m., located in Kiev.

The warehouse complex of Lan-Ukraine is equipped with frontal racks, on the basis of which the optimal address storage of goods is organized. The range of products managed by Qguar WMS Pro is about 600 items (more than 20 brands). Basically, these are food products, which implies the management of the turnover of goods according to the FEFO principle.

Qguar WMS Pro allows the company to automatically process goods under Metro standards (operates with "metro units"). To reduce the time spent searching for the necessary pallets to load into the machine (including reducing the likelihood of erroneous loading of pallets into the wrong machine), the system provides for targeted storage of selected pallets. With the help of the "expedition" module, processed requests are grouped into routes, and goods are loaded into vehicles in compliance with the order of unloading. Managing the flow of goods for loading onto vehicles is a particularly important function for distribution and 3PL warehouses with limited ramp space and high order volumes.

To speed up the processing of goods, reduce the time of operations and optimize the staff, Qguar WMS Pro has the ability to perform the roles of an assembler and a loader by one employee. If there is an active task for the delivery of pallets for loading into the machine, the system automatically “switches” the employee to the “loading mode”. The warehouse management system also provides a number of functions that allow the company to successfully implement the safekeeping of goods for its customers.
