What is

How they work
The warehouse terminal reads the barcode from the product, indicates its quantity, which allows you to enter information about the new product into the database. After reading all the barcodes, the DCT is connected to a personal computer (special stands, infrared port, interface cable or other method are used for this).
After connecting the TSD to the PC, information about the product read by the device and stored in the internal memory of the device is transferred to the main database. One of the significant advantages of using this type of equipment is:
- increasing the speed of all processes that run during various operations;
- Minimize the occurrence of possible errors.
Thanks to the additional functionality, the device not only enters data on a new product that has arrived, but also makes a pre-order, and it is also possible to obtain nomenclature data.
Variations
The TSD line consists of various models.
- Terminals are cumulative. They are intended for collecting, accumulating information about goods, with its subsequent introduction into the information base. Accumulative type RTDs act as an excellent alternative to wireless-type scanners that read barcodes, since, in addition to reading, they display information on the display and allow you to make adjustments (for example, indicate the quantity). The actual use of terminals of this type will be for hypermarkets, warehouses with significant areas. Cumulative terminals are budget-type models.
- Radio terminals. Designed to exchange information in real time between the TSD and the accounting system (information is transmitted wirelessly).

Models are presented in different types:
